Day 01 Arrival Chennai

Meet our representative upon arrival in Chennai – the capital city of Tamil Nadu is sited on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. It has played a very crucial role in the traditional, historical and academic growth of the country, representing the different elements of the highest variety of the Dravidian civilization. Also, considered as the cultural hub of South India which is famous for its affluent heritage in classical dance, music, architecture, sculpture, crafts, etc. After reaching, proceed to hotel and check-in and rest for the dya. Overnight at Chennai

After breakfast Explore Chennai- Visit Fort St George, St. Mary’s Church and a museum, Kapeeleshwara Temple, San Thome Cathedral, Government State Museum & National Art Gallery. Drive past Marina Beach, the second longest beach in the world. Evening explore market for shopping. Overnight at Chennai.

After breakfast Drive to Mahabalipuram – the major seaport of the ancient Pallava kingdom, world Heritage–listed temples and carvings inflames the imagination. En-route you will be visiting Kancheepuram – Visit the Ekambaranatha Temple, Vaishnavite Vaikunta Perumal Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Kamakshi Temple, and Kailasanatha Temple. Later continue to drive towards Mahabalipuram. Arrive Mahabalipuram and check-in at the hotel.  Rest for the day. Overnight in Mahabalipuram. 

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to explore highlights of Mahabalipuram – covering Panch Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance and the Shore Temple. Later, proceed to Pondicherry- the older part of this former French colony has a lot of quiet, clean, shady, cobbled streets, lined with mustard-yellow colonial townhouses numbered in an almost logical manner. You will probably spend most of your time in this part of town, old Pondicherry may well seem a sea of tranquility. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and rest for the day. Overnight at Pondichery.

After breakfast enjoy sightseeing of Pondicherry, starting with Aurobindo ashram – Founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo and a French-born woman known as ‘the Mother’, this spiritual community now has about 1200 members who work in the ashram’s many departments. Also, cover church of sacred hearts of Jesus, Pondicherry Museum, beaches, Local streets, Markets, In the evening enjoy a walk on the french quarters heritage area of Pondicherry and the promenade in the evening. Back to hotel and Overnight at Pondichery.

 

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive towards Thanjavure via Chidambaram. Chidambaram is home to Nataraja Temple (17th century temple renowned for its architectural and religious significance) and a major pilgrim centre. Post that continue to drive towards Thanjavur. Arrive and check-in at the hotel and evening Visit Brihadeshwara Temple, Tanjore Palace & Museum. Back to Hotel and Overnight in Thanjavur.



After breakfast city tour visiting the massive Jaisalmer Fort, the second oldest fort in Rajasthan after Chittaur , Patwon ki Haveli, the grandest haveli of Jaisalmer , Desert Culture centre and museums gives you some glimpse of this small town’s past. The Jain temples meet your religious taste, Salim Singh ki haveli and Nathmal-ki-haveli give you some more idea of the haveli architecture of the town. Besides these, Gadsisar Lake is also an interesting spot to visit in this desert city.
Afternoon excursion to visit Lodurva, 16 Kms.. from Jaisalmer is the ancient capital of Jaisalmer and an important pilgrim spot of the Jain community with some magnificent Jain temple. “Toran’ or the ornate arches at the main entrance and splendid carvings are noteworthy. A ‘Kalptaru’ or a divine tree within is the main attraction of the temple. Overnight at Hotel.

After early breakfast, Travel to Rameswaram. Visit Jyotirlinga Shiva Temple (Ramanathaswamy Temple). Time permitting visit Dhanushkodi beach, renowned for temples that are linked to Lord Rama and Ramayana mythology. Drive back to Madurai and in the evening, re-visit the Meenakshi Temple to witness the evening prayer ceremony at the temple , back to Hotel and rest. Overnight at Madurai.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Madurai airport for return flight back home.
