Day 01 –Fly To Delhi

Fly to Delhi nonstop with Air India, ask us for our great upgrade offers or alternative carriers.

 

Arrive, meet & greet then transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

 

Board your domestic flight to Raipur, journey time approx 1.4hr. Upon reaching Raipur, you will be transferred to your heritage hotel situated within Kawardha Palace. The car journey time is approx 2.5hr. The evening offers much needed leisure time to unwind and explore the majestic Kawardha Palace.
Situated just east of the Maikala Range, southeast of Kanha National Park, Kawardha is a quaint town nestled in Chhattisgarh. Recently opened to visitors by Maharaja Vishwaraj Singh, the palace offers a serene and unspoiled retreat from the bustling cities of India. Guests are warmly welcomed, immersing them in the tranquil ambiance of Kawardha. The town is centrally located amidst the forests inhabited by the Baiga tribe, adding to its cultural richness and natural beauty.

After breakfast, you are taken to explore the Tribal Villages around Kawardha.

A scenic drive to Kanker, spanning approximately 5 hours. Upon reaching Kanker, you’ll check-in at your hotel. The evening is yours for relaxation or independent exploration. Kanker, renowned for its small hilly enclaves, once served as a significant centre for Buddhism dating back to the 6th century BC. This ancient town boasts a remarkable blend of dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and captivating tribal villages nestled within its midst, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history and natural splendour.

Following breakfast, your journey will take you southward from Kanker as you ascend the forested slopes of Keshkal Ghat, situated at an elevation of 500 meters above the plains, delineating the border of Bastar. Here, amidst the verdant surroundings, you’ll immerse yourself in the unique essence of North Bastar. If it coincides with market day, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a vibrant weekly market, where colours, sounds, and aromas converge to create an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast, you are free to explore your surroundings.

 

Following breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Jagdalpur, spanning approximately 6 hours. Upon reaching your destination, you will proceed with check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, a guided tour awaits, offering insights into the historical treasures of Jagdalpur. Explore the Anthropological Museum, delving into the rich cultural heritage of the region. Later, marvel at the majestic Chitrakoot Waterfall, often referred to as Bastar’s own ‘Niagara,’ gracefully cascading on the Indravati River, a sight not to be missed.

After an early breakfast, visit the rich forests of the Kanker Valley National Park, the enchanting Tirathgarh waterfall and the extraordinary Kailas and Kotumsar stalactite and stalagmite caves. Also, time to shop for some of Jagdalpur’s unique handicrafts

Following breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Jagdalpur, spanning approximately 6 hours. Upon reaching your destination, you will proceed with check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, a guided tour awaits, offering insights into the historical treasures of Jagdalpur. Explore the Anthropological Museum, delving into the rich cultural heritage of the region. After breakfast transfer to Raipur airport to board flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, transfer to Hotel; The evening is at leisure to relax.

 

Today enjoy a walking tour of Old Delhi, try a traditional breakfast in a local restaurant as recommended by your guide. Later you will end your morning tour with lunch at a beautiful Heritage Haveli tucked away in the old Lanes. After lunch stroll through the hustle and bustle of Chandi Chowkh.

Today India bids you farewell with your transfer to the international terminal for your flight home.
