Day 01 – Arrival In Delhi

Meet our representative upon arrival in Delhi and check-in at the hotel. India’s capital & a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Arrive Check in the hotel and rest for the day, Overnight in Delhi.

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BC and has seen ups and downs from the rule of the Pandavas right up to the British Raj. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. You will then drive past to the Red Fort, which was constructed during the rule of Emperor Shah Jahan and served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. It continues to be significant till date, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister makes a speech from its ramparts as the Indian flag is hoisted. Later, drive past President House and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi before you head toward Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Lotus Temple ,Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the evening visit the Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Return back to Hotel. Early morning, get your pack breakfast from hotel and proceed for New Delhi Railway station to board your train #12011 KLK Shatabdi Express at 0740 Hrs for Kalka. Upon arrival in Kalka at 1140 hrs, you will be assisted by our representative at Kalka railway station & proceed to Shimla. Arrive Check in the hotel and rest for the day OR in the evening, take a walk on Shimla’s famous boulevard, Mall Road. See fine specimens of colonial architecture, snack at the various eateries in the market or shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Shimla

After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing – start with a visit to Jakhoo Temple, which is situated atop Jakhoo Hill and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Next, visit the Viceregal Lodge, also known as the Rashtrapati Niwas, the former summer residence of British viceroys, now a museum showcasing colonial-era history. Later visit Christ Church and The Ridge, two of Shimla’s most iconic landmarks. Post that transfer to Kufri. This is a popular picnic spot from Shimla. You may hike on foot or pay for a mule ride up the hill (On direct payments). Mahasu is the tallest peak in Kufri that gives tourists an amazing view of distant snow-capped peaks. Return to the hotel by evening and rest for the day. Overnight in Shimla

After breakfast, drive towards Manali – Offers super views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges, and with mountain adventures beckoning from all directions, Manali is a year-round magnet for tourists. Apart from temples, Manali is popular among adventure tourists coming for trekking, paragliding, rafting and skiing. Check-in at the hotel and spend evening at leisure. Overnight at Manali

After breakfast start your exploration of Manali with a visit to the Hadimba Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, nestled amidst a cedar forest. It is one of the most iconic spots in Manali. You can also visit Manu Temple, which is dedicated to Sage Manu, believed to be the creator of the human race. Take a day trip to Naggar (about 22 km from Manali). Visit Naggar Castle, a historic structure built by the Kullu kings, offering amazing views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In the evening, return and rest for the day. Overnight in Manali.

After breakfast, take a trip to Solang Valley, known for its adventure activities like skiing, paragliding, and zorbing (depending on the season payable directly as per actual). Further drive to the Atal Tunnel is one of the longest high-altitude tunnels in the world and connects Manali to the Lahaul-Spiti Valley. Return back to Manali and in the evening, return to the town and explore the local markets along Mall Road. Overnight Stay in Manali.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Dharamshala – Perhaps one of the best holiday destinations since the time of the British. Situated amid coniferous forests, this place is renowned as the holy abode of The Dalai Lama- the leader of Tibetan Buddhism. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, explore the major attractions of Dharamshala- visit to the Dalai Lama Temple Complex inMcleodganj, which serves as the residence of the Dalai Lama and is a spiritual hub for Tibetan Buddhists. Just ashort walk away is the Namgyal Monastery, a center for Tibetan Buddhism. Afterward, head to the Bhagsu Waterfall and Bhagsunag Temple, which are located in a scenic spot with beautiful surroundings perfect for photography. In the afternoon, take a visit to the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, one of the highest international cricket grounds in the world, where you can take in views of the surrounding mountains. Later, in the evening explore the local Tibetan markets, where you can shop for handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight
in Dharamshala.

After breakfast drive to Amritsar – colloquially known as Ambarsar, is a spiritually significant city for the followers of Sikhism. Arrive in Amritsar, check in to your accommodation. After freshening up relax for the day and night visit of the iconic Golden Temple. Spend time soaking in the serene atmosphere of the holiest Sikh shrine, and don’t miss the community kitchen (Langar) where free meals are served daily. Later back to hotel. Overnight in Amritsar

After breakfast, visit the day visit of Golden temple post that visit Durgiana Temple, a sacred Hindu shrine setamidst a peaceful lake. Next, head to the Partition Museum, which provides insight into the partition of India in 1947 and its effects on the people Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh Memorial, which marks a tragic chapter of India’s history. Post lunch head to attend the Wagah Border ceremony, where you can witness the dramatic flag-lowering ceremony Back to Amritsar, explore market for shopping. Overnight in Amritsar.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Amritsar airport for return flight back home.
